Sherita L. Wilson-Rodgers has been an educator for 15 years and spent the 5 years as Director of Secondary Mathematics in Spring Independent School District. Prior to being the director, Sherita taught high school mathematics in North Carolina.
Sherita's commitment to math education extends beyond her role as district director. She attends many conferences and other professional developments. Her professional learning has included training in professional learning communities, project-based learning and targeted interventions. She was the 2015 CAMT Program Committee Chair.
Sherita is an advocate for meeting students where they are to be able to take them to their highest potential. She loves to teach mathematics through engaging activities that students find relevant and enjoyable.
Sherita has a B.A. in mathematics education from Clemson University. She had her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis of Mathematics Education from Winthrop University. She is certified in high school mathematics.
