Veronica Galvan currently serves as a high school math teacher for Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. She holds a total of twenty years of service in mathematics education. She served as department head for Rio Hondo Junior High and transitioned to a Mathematics Coach for 3 years. Her experience ranges from UIL math coach, math club sponsor, curriculum writing, presenting, teacher training and mentoring.
Veronica holds a bachelor’s degree in science and is certified to teach grades 6-12 mathematics. She also received her master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
Veronica served for 2 years as the NCTM representative for TCTM. Veronica lives on a ranch in Rio Hondo, Texas with her husband, Tuffy and their 5 dogs.
