Kathleen Hart-Abel for Secretary

Kathleen Hart-Abel has taught math for 11 years. She is the head of the math department Pearland ISD (ESC Region 4), with experience teaching Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. She has helped create and write curriculum and model lessons for school districts in Texas, for the Texas Education Agency, and for projects in two other states. Kathleen is a CAMT presenter, and a member of the Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics (TCTM) and the Texas Association of Supervisors of Mathematics (TASM). A single mother, she has a 13-year-old daughter who keeps her busy. She enjoys home improvement projects as well as outdoor activities.
