Spring 2012 Elections Dr. Gill received her bachelor's degree in secondary mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado, and then earned her M.A. in mathematics and Ph.D. in higher education from Texas Tech University. She has participated as an instructional consultant on teacher quality grants and with Region 16. Before joining the West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) faculty, she spent nine years teaching math and science to grades 7-12. Dr. Gill teaches undergraduate and graduate mathematics education courses and core mathematics. She is the faculty advisor for the Delta Zeta Sorority. She is also a member and past officer of WT Women. Dr. Gill’s research interests are mathematics education and women in community college and higher education administration. Her husband is an athletic director and a varsity boys’ basketball coach. They have two daughters and a son. Dr. Gill was born and raised in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. Her hobbies are reading, cross-stitching and traveling. [return to elections main page]
