Grants to attend CAMT

New Grant

The TCTM Board is revamping the way we fund these opportunities for Texas teachers. Please check on-line beginning February 15, 2012 for the new guidelines and application procedures.

President's Grant

Grants for the recipient to attend CAMT (currentally $600) will be awarded to current mathematics educators with a district or campus affiliation with more than five years teaching experience in Texas. Previous winners of this grant are not eligible to receive it again.

CAMTership Grant

CAMTerships (currently $600) are awarded to mathematics educators with a campus or district affiliation with five or fewer years teaching experience in Texas. Previous winners are not eligible.

Application Process for Grants in 2012

The 2012 application deadline is March 15, 2012. Winners will be determined by random drawing of names and will be notified by telephone or email no later than April 1, 2012. Winners will be asked to volunteer for two hours at CAMT and will be TCTM’s guest at our reception, where the checks will be presented.

Winners must complete a W-9 form, including providing TCTM with a taxpayer ID (Social Security) Number prior to receipt of the award at CAMT. Winners are responsible for reporting the amount of this award on their federal tax return, as the information will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Pursuant to IRS regulations, TCTM will provide you with a 1099-MISC for 2012.
