About TCTM
Welcome to the
Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics
The Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics (TCTM) is a professional organization dedicated to fostering a strong interest in mathematics and mathematics education among its members and aims to keep educators informed about the latest trends in mathematics teaching. TCTM achieves this by publishing the semi-annual journal, Texas Mathematics Teacher, helping members access the benefits from attending the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT), as well as resources or events made available from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM). Additionally, TCTM shares updates on mathematics education through monthly newsletters to its membership. The organization also focuses on enhancing training programs for Texas mathematics teachers and supports the growth and sustainability of regional affiliates of NCTM and NCSM throughout the state.
